A Review of Tailor Brands
For building a website or blog

Are you thinking about building a new website? Launching a blog, or kicking off some online selling? A few years ago I had an idea and wanted to start with a blog, hence LifeStylCo.com. I have a full time job in high-tech marketing as a product marketer, so I am online all the time. Working through product positioning, messaging across every channel on the regular. When it came to starting my own blog, I had all kinds of ideas on what I wanted to do, but the how was a bit more challenging. I started like I do almost every new project I started.
Research & Interviews
Plus a little bit of trial (and error). In my day job the companies I work for use WordPress or some type of CMS, they have website managers, designers or agencies. This was going to be ME. I started by interviewing some of the experts—the website designers, managers and well, that in retrospect I realize that asking the expert who uses expert tools—whatever they are going to recommend is probably out of my league. It got me to a point, one which I was about to give up. But, like every project, I realized if you keep pushing it forward (inch by inch at times) you’ll find a way. I spent money and time, but eventually and while it appeared accidentally, I found a way to build a website which was WAY easier.
Tailor Brands—AI generated Logo
Introducing Tailor Brands. After spending money trying to use Fiverr for a logo that turned out to be just like any other icon I could search for on Google. Which was frustrating—because I spent money and felt like I went backwards. While I was doing a search on Google for icons to confirm my Fiverr logo was just that, I found Tailor Brands.
And, I started playing with Tailor Brands to create a logo. It was fun, easy and the logo was far better than what I got from Fiverr. It’s also immediate, no wait time. I took the logo and then worked with a designer colleague to soften it up. Tailor Brands started as an AI-generated logo creator, but it’s so much more—it’s a platform for starting your business, Tailor is an online platform for turning the entire process of business creation into something anyone can do.
In my next blog, I will share how I got the website/blog up and running because like the logo, it was a journey.
Why Logo—First?
While I was researching blog technology and trying out a few different options—WordPress, etc .. I wanted to have a logo to build around. In today’s world your logo is critical and I would say that it’s now easier than ever to create.
But I was a little shocked at first that I could create it with AI. I realized then how AI could likely do a lot more, you can read my blog post on Jasper.Ai.

IP: When you embark on this process you should consider how much DIY you want to do based on your skillset and time.
If you're like me and on the business end of things (in the workday), there is a good chance DIY is not your angle. I learned this as I navigated the process. And well, it got me to a point, but I actually did a quick pivot after spending quite a bit on tools.
